How to Create the perfect packing list for your cruise vacation

Creating a packing list isn’t always easy. Even with being on a cruise where there are so many things taken care of for you, you’ll still need clothes and probably toiletries that align with what you personally need. While many cruise lines provide general amenities and toiletries, if you’re particular to certain brands, you’ll want to make sure that you bring certain items yourself.

Categories

To start, break it down into the main categories that are needed and from there, you consider sub-categories that naturally flow from there.

Packing List Categories, Suggestions and Sub-categories

Clothes

Daily wear

Accessories

Toiletries

Toothpaste

Electronics

Phone

Charger Cords

Important Documents

Passport or other valid Photo-identification

Additional ID (backup)

Local Currency

In addition to the traditional packing lists categories, also consider items that make you feel more at home and comfortable while you’re away. Items like your favorite books, games, clothes for theme parties, glow sticks, mints, snacks, and anything else that makes your cruise more enjoyable while not disturbing your neighbors.

Tip: Pack clothes for where you're traveling from, where you’re cruising around, cruising to, and the weather for where you disembark. You don’t want to be too cold or overly hot.
